About us
Mission?
100,000 elephants were killed just in the last three years. 245 “trophies” are imported into the U.S. everyday. Only 2,500 black rhinoceros are left in the world. Too many species with once vibrant populations are now reduced to a few thousand, a few hundred or even less. Humans are rapidly destroying the natural world in a blood-soaked pursuit of false-power, ego, ignorance and stupidity. And with President Trump’s recent decision to quietly lift the Obama-era trophy ban, we must take action now more than ever. Tusk Over Trophies' mission is to stop this massacre in the little amount of time left to save Earth’s beautiful land and sea animals. We are the world’s most dangerous predator, but we are also the world’s ultimate defender. Extinction is forever. Hobbies are not.
What inspired you to start this initiative?
The Trump Administration made trophy hunting legal again after Obama banned it. I had to act.
What is your personal investment in this activity?
I will hold an educational event about trophy hunting specifically about endangered animals. During the event, everyone can have the opportunity to “adopt an endangered animal” by using “Defenders of Wildlife.” Once this event is held, my next step is to create an official petition to completely ban trophy hunting, especially canned trophy hunting. I would like to organize a march to protest trophy hunting and bring more attention to the problem with the intent of attracting more people to sign the petition. In addition, the Tusk Over Trophies website encourages viewers to inquire about current events in regards to animal endangerment and write a blog post about the problem to find solutions together.
